Dairy is built into a lot of South Asian, Middle Eastern and British cooking, which makes dairy free eating difficult for families in Dewsbury and Batley who avoid milk, whether for allergy, intolerance or choice.
Status: we are not selling meals yet. We are asking Dewsbury and Batley what they would actually want, and what they would pay, before we cook a single box. The survey takes about a minute.
Where dairy turns up
- Ghee, butter, cream and yoghurt in curries and marinades.
- Paneer, labneh, feta and halloumi in Indian, Arab and Turkish dishes.
- Cream sauces, cheese toppings and butter in English meals.
What we are planning
Dishes built on coconut milk, oil, tomato, lentils, chickpeas, vegetables and grilled meat, so that dairy free is the design, not a substitution. Every meal would list its allergens.
Milk allergy can be serious. Anyone with an allergy should read the allergen information and check with us before ordering.

Questions people ask
Which Indian dishes are dairy free?
Dals, chana masala, many vegetable curries and meat dishes cooked in oil rather than ghee or cream are naturally dairy free, but always check the ingredients.
Can dairy free food still taste rich?
Yes. Coconut milk, ground nuts, roasted spices and slow cooked onions give richness without cream or butter.
Are dairy free ready meals available from you in Dewsbury or Batley?
Not yet. We are asking local people what they want through a short survey first.
