Gluten Free Ready Meals in Dewsbury and Batley

Finding gluten free food that tastes like home is hard in Dewsbury and Batley. Many Indian, Arab, Turkish and English dishes quietly contain wheat, and takeaways often cannot tell you what is in them.

Status: we are not selling meals yet. We are asking Dewsbury and Batley what they would actually want, and what they would pay, before we cook a single box. The survey takes about a minute.

Where gluten hides in everyday meals

  • Roti, chapati, naan and paratha are made from wheat flour.
  • Bulgur and freekeh, used in Arab and Turkish cooking, are wheat.
  • Gravies, sauces and pie fillings are often thickened with flour.
  • Soy sauce, stock cubes and spice blends can contain wheat.

What we are planning

Naturally gluten free dishes such as dals, rice based curries, grilled meats, lentil soups and stuffed vegetables, served with brown rice, rice noodles or gluten free pasta. Allergens would be listed on every meal.

If you have coeliac disease, always check labels and ask about cross contamination before eating any prepared food. We will be open about how meals are made so you can decide what is safe for you.
